Build, operate

01 / WHERE WE CAN HELP

The work between
an idea and a business.

01

Establish your
business in Mexico.

Understand the market, test the model, and build a practical route to launch. We connect commercial relationships, the local team, and the foundations of an operation.

Market entry · Entity formation coordination · Accounting and administrative setup · Commercial development

02

Build a new business.
Strengthen an existing one.

A new business unit, an opportunity for growth, or an operation that needs to change. We get inside the business with your team, understand the economics, and turn decisions into action.

Whether you are starting with AI or already using it, we help organize the knowledge, business rules, and decision criteria your team relies on. That gives AI the context it needs and helps us identify which parts of the work are worth automating.

An AI and automation assessment is also available as a standalone engagement.

Business diagnosis · Hands-on advisory · AI and automation assessment · Local and global leadership support · Board roles · Operating leadership

03

Find the people
to make it work.

Decide who you need, when they should join, and what they need to accomplish. Before any search, we study what you are looking for, what budget you have, and what that profile costs in Mexico. Our talent work draws on more than fourteen years of experience in talent roles within major global financial institutions and international executive search firms, working with senior leaders across Mexico and Latin America.

A single critical hire or a whole local team, connected to the wider business plan.

We bring together trusted professionals and operating partners with whom we have built and managed businesses before.

02 / HOW WE WORK

Get close.
Ask questions.
Build together.

We speak with the people who know the business: employees, customers, suppliers, partners, investors, and leadership. We review the numbers and spend time in the operation.

Then we test what we think we know. Form a hypothesis, run an experiment, measure, and adjust. We challenge ideas with evidence and work through decisions with the team.

Clear goals.
Shared understanding.
Responsibility for moving forward.
03 / EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE WORK

Different businesses.
Real responsibility.

From selling products through major retailers to leading local operations within global companies. Building from zero, improving businesses, and remaining accountable through restructuring and wind-down.

01 / TECHNOLOGY & LOGISTICS2016–2022 · OPERATING LEADERSHIP

Dostavista → Borzo

Backed by Mubadala, Abu Dhabi’s sovereign investment company, and VNV Global.

I was the first employee in Mexico and built the local business over roughly six years. Working with headquarters, fellow country managers, and global leadership meant connecting Mexico’s reality with the wider company’s goals across cultures and time zones. I left a profitable, cash-flow-positive operation with a team capable of running it independently.

02 / LOGISTICS2022–2025 · CRO → CEO

iVoy

Backed by Northgate Capital, DILA Capital, and Cometa.

As CRO, I took charge of sales and customer success and, working with the team, brought the on-demand business to profitability within 45 days. As CEO, my responsibilities included restructuring, the sale of two businesses, the closing of the company, and continued involvement in formal bankruptcy proceedings in Mexico (concurso mercantil).

PowWater × Rotoplas

A water-delivery model from Kenya meets a publicly listed Mexican water-solutions group.

As the operator in Mexico, I helped bring the joint venture to signature and defined how the business would work. We connected research inside Rotoplas with lessons from operators in the field. The JV was signed; the launch did not proceed after the U.S. partner decided against committing capital.

04 / THE PERSON BEHIND 2122Curiosity brought me here.
People keep me learning.

I’m Iñaqui
de la Peña.

A husband, a father of two,
and the founder of 2122 Holdings.

I grew up around entrepreneurship, learning from my family and the people who took the time to teach me. I have sold motorcycles, watches, jewelry, mobile phones, logistics services, technology, and entire business units.

Every industry has given me something new to understand and people to learn from. I enjoy getting inside a business and building with the people around me—teams that challenge my thinking, take ownership, and grow.

My wife and her career taught me how to build teams. She has brought key talent into companies, and 2122 draws on those years of experience in finding, assessing, and bringing the right people into a business.

2122 brings that experience together with trusted collaborators to help other companies build what comes next.
